today was a pretty good day! probably the best day of this week because everything was so gloomy and mediocre this week. i passed with an A for the first time! full marks for econs essay. i was super happy for the longest time after that. playing badminton with abigail, randy and yujie made me realise that my badminton seems to have improved heh heh! even though that’s rather impossible as i haven’t played it in more than 6 months. i was reminded of when we used to play badminton in the squash courts in mg. (: except in nj it was minus the screaming and squealing. yujie treats his sport seriously.
i absolutely love GP lessons for the people who sit beside and around me. everytime we have GP, it’s MG gathering time cause half the class was from MG. and we sing the school song and bid farewell to ms tang the MG way. which she feels lacks sincerity. doesn’t it always? but it doesn’t matter to us. we crave and yearn for a sense of familiarity so much that we gain satisfaction from anything vaguely familiar. whether it’s singing the school song or routine bits and pieces of MG life or the smallest things that annabelle does that reminds me of 4E. GP keeps me rooted and alive. and it makes me realise just how poor my english is as of now. as chin would say it, it’s substandard. ): but i’ll get it up. yes i will. i don’t really see how blogging will help, but at least i write something on a regular basis. oh and did i mention that the people sitting behind me are the most epic? they make the most stupid and smart alecky comments. but omg i love it so much.
and shooting. that’s by far the best. i got lovely photocards from carol today! one the benefits of being a shooter: personally choosing photocards (: really nice stuff she took herself! i shall upload some scans of them soon if possible. i didn’t train today again. but i’m fine because i absolutely love hanging out with everybody. the awesomest people around. and did i mention i can now play halo2? i shall move on to CS soon if chin is willing to guide me. oh and i really wanna thanks Samuel for telling me that my PI idea is good. that’s something i really needed to hear after having my PI shot down repeatedly and nobody can tell me anything good about it at all. but i still have my word count issues and i have to add a couple more points ): how now brown cow?
I might not have learnt much from lectures and tutorials this week but here’s a list of stuff that i’ve learnt and find really really useful:
1) how to play bridge
2) how to play pool
3) how to play halo
4) how to play love the way you lie on the guitar (it’s real easy and abigail and i are gonna do a cover one day ((: have to figure a way to hit the high notes of the chorus, though)
5) SUBSTANDARD. (chin’s word that keeps rolling off me and abigail’s tongue)
i guess i go to school to learn about everything except for studies. isn’t that nice.
